We want to make sure our apps are stable and working well for all users. To ensure this happens, we’re launching

Since the Sendy mobile applications first launched, more than 60,000 users have installed them — more than 50,000 users from the Google Play Store and more than 10,000 users from the App Store. This figure is growing by the day and to meet our users’ needs, we have continued to improve and innovate around the features our platform provides as well as fix reported bugs.

While we do this, we want to make sure that our apps are stable and are working well for all our users. To ensure this happens, we’re launching the Beta Testing Programme.

What is a Beta?

A beta is an environment that allows real world users to interact with our products before they are officially released. A beta tester evaluates the software in terms of ease of use, reliability and functionality. The feedback users share help us refine our software before release.

The Beta Pipeline

Usually, after development, our features and fixes are pushed to the beta channel before being promoted to the live channel. In between, our internal team thoroughly tests and validates the releases across a wide variety of devices. The aim of this is to fix bugs and other glitches.

With the beta programme, our apps will stay longer in the beta, be installed on more devices, and we will have more feedback before the apps are available to everyone. The idea is to listen to our customers and try get as much information from them about new features as we can. Also, sometimes our own internal testing isn’t enough, and it’ll help us stabilize our apps even further.

We know that data, battery usage, storage space and speed are important to our users. These will be considerations for optimisation during the beta process. When you join the Sendy Beta you help us improve our software experience across all these metrics, and you get early access to some of the new features we’re developing before we release them to the public.

We have an open beta which everyone can join on their own, and a closed beta for more experimental features. You need to be explicitly added to the closed beta.

I want to join the Closed Beta

If you want to help us out and join the Sendy Beta, suggest improvements and even help us shape our future releases, please us this link to register.
